CRKT и дизайнер Elmer Roush в январе 2018 года будут готовы предложить покупателям новый топор. Pack Axe
Elmer Roush ветеран. У него за плечами 18 месяцев во Вьетнаме. И огромный опыт.
Vietnam veteran puts passion and experience into portable camp axe.
CRKT® together with designer Elmer Roush is proud to release the Pack Axe, a compact new camp axe designed, simply—in Roush’s words—”to cut effectively, and chop effectively.”
This classic axe is a new addition to the Forged By War® program and is crafted for portability.
At a lightweight 1 pound, 2 ounces, it makes good on its promise.
Elmer’s style is all experimental. He set out to make it too big and too long, then pare it down until it felt just right.
Some may say it’s a bit unorthodox, but it proves itself with a 2.9” blade length and a head forged from 1060 carbon steel. With a hammer finish, it’s not only good-looking, but durable enough to withstand Mother Nature’s wrath.
To top it off, it’s matched with a Tennessee hickory handle. The length of the axe comes in just under 11.5” to assert itself as a seriously packable axe.
When asked about the particularities of this one, Roush had quite a bit to say, “It has an early American flavor with an effective pol for balance and a flat striking surface. I have been camping and hiking for many years, so I have an idea of what’s needed in a camp or survival situation. I designed this axe to be a portable and very serviceable tool with pleasing lines.”
Perfectly portable, seriously serviceable, the Pack Axe is further proof that Elmer is at the top of the pack.
