Имя Julie Warenski вы уже встречали и в этой подборке - когда речь шла о некоторых других Мастерах. Сегодня ещё раз непосредственно о ней самой. И о её работе.
The name of Francesco Pachi is well known for knife masters and not only for them.
A talented man is talented in any craft, so Francesco is known not only with his knife masterpieces highly appreciated by collectors: for a long time he was the head of, probably, one of the most famous knife Guilds in the world, the Italian Knife Guild.
Besides, he makes amazing photographs appreciated by collectors not less than his knives.
Currently he his occupied with photography only. But still the knife world, be these real knives, photographs, exhibitions, books, or anything else, here are his world and his life.
Сейчас взяли подборку за нсколько прошлых лет и готовы пригласить вас в удивительный мир - the world of custom knives.
There is a 3 1/2 carat green tsavorite garnet in the back end of the knife.
Fittings are hot blued gun steel with raised 24K gold inlays.
Handle is gem grade imperial white jade with spiral flutes and gold twist wire.
Overall length is 15 1/2 inches.
I was taking an engraving class, which he taught, and later that year we were married.
Within one year I was engraving every knife we made and also engraved for many other knifemakers and customers all over the world.
Over the years I worked in many areas of knifemaking helping with knife designs and also making many parts of our knives, as well as doing all the embellishment on them. We had a great marriage and awesome relationship until he was so unexpectedly taken away forever. He used to joke that he was going to teach me how to grind the blades so he could just retire, but I quickly let him know that there was no way this was going to happen.
I often wish now that he had taught me his techniques to grind the knife blades.
We were married in 2006, and now work together in a new and exciting partnership in knifemaking. There will be many fabulous knives in our future together as we are dedicated to making some of the best art knives possible."
